Everton Under-23s boss David Unsworth praised the never-say-die attitude of his players after their 1-0 win over Wolves in the Premier League Cup.
Following a dominant display, Jonjoe Kenny’s 93rd-minute penalty secured a thoroughly-deserved victory for the young Blues at Goodison Park.
The win was the Under-23s’ eighth from their opening nine fixtures in all competitions, with the Toffees registering 24 goals and conceding just three so far.
And boss Unsworth says he has been pleased with the way in which his players have dealt with different challenges so far this season.
