Jordan Pickford was delighted to play his part in Everton’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.
Oumar Niasse etched his name into the headlines with a brace from the bench, with Tom Davies also catching the eye with a pair of assists as the Blues came from behind to earn victory over the Cherries.
But it was Pickford who also played a telling role in proceedings when he made a vital save to deny Jermain Defoe soon after Joshua King had opened the scoring on 49 minutes.
The Everton glovesman was pleased to have made an impact in an important win for the Toffees.
