Everton captain Phil Jagielka has revealed he took his anger out on a wall with a sledgehammer after discovering he had missed out on a place in England's Euro 2016 squad.
Jagielka, 34, failed to make former Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson's selection for the summer's tournament in France, with centre-backs Gary Cahill, Chris Smalling and John Stones being preferred ahead of him.
"I got a bit more time to spend with the family, a bit more time to reflect -- I lost two semifinals [with Everton] and was told I wasn't going to the Euros," Jagielka told the Daily Telegraph.
