Everton’s thrilling Premier League victory over Manchester City has been voted the LG Performance of the Week.
The League Managers Association’s five-man panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Dave Bassett, Barry Fry and ex-Blues boss Joe Royle, hailed the 4-0 win over Pep Guardiola’s City side as the standout team performance of the week.
The magnificent Toffees inflicted City’s heaviest Premier League defeat since 2008 thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku, Kevin Mirallas and teenage duo Tom Davies and Ademola Lookman.
The 4-0 triumph was the Blues’ biggest win of the season so far and manager Ronald Koeman described it as ‘a fantastic team performance’.
