Everton and Arsenal played out a 0-0 draw in the Premier League on Saturday, with respective new managers Carlo Ancelotti and Mikel Arteta watching from the stands.
Ancelotti was named Everton manager an hour before kick off, while Arteta -- who represented both sides in his playing career -- was appointed Arsenal boss on Friday.
Neither side mustered a shot on target in an uninspiring first half at Goodison Park, with the most notable event being Alex Iwobi's injury-enforced substitution on 11 minutes.
Arsenal came closest to breaking the deadlock early in the second half when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's close-range effort forced Jordan Pickford to make an impressive reflex save.
