Oumar Niasse reveals his upbringing on the streets of Dakar in the March issue of the Everton magazine.
The popular striker hails from the Senegalese capital and explains how his fierce determination and drive originated from holiday work as a labourer to help save up for a pair of football boots.
Niasse also details how he managed to persuade his mother that suspending his studies in order to play football would prove the right decision, and charts his journey from Senegal to England via stops in Norway, Turkey and Russia.
Joining Niasse in the issue is Gylfi Sigurdsson.
