Newcastle fans have been hit with a travel disaster ahead of their clash with Tottenham after being advised not to travel to the match by train.
The news comes following damage to overhead lines between Peterborough and Grantham yesterday, thus affecting on train routes from the north east of England to London.
Ahead of the 4:30pm kick-off, many Magpies supporters had been expected to make the journey from Newcastle to Kings Cross.
A London North Eastern Railway (LNER) statement said: 'The lines remain blocked today between Peterborough and Grantham to allow repairs to be made to the overhead line.
