Neil Warnock wants Frank Lampard to keep frustrations with Everton's players in house because it is 'a mistake' to publicly shame players amid a relegation fight.

Following a 4-0 FA Cup defeat to Crystal Palace, Lampard ripped into his players, questioning their commitment to the fight he found the squad in.

'There is only so much you can keep trying to butter someone up to get confidence,' Lampard said.

'You’re playing at the cut-throat end of football; this is the FA Cup quarter-finals.
