Money is no barometer of mental health... footballers, like everyone else in society, have pressures to deal with

It's nothing to do with money, or how much you earn. It's nothing to do with the next Bentley or Mercedes or size of your swimming pool. It doesn't matter if you earn £100,000 a week.

As football reacted to the news about Aaron Lennon, the only surprise is that there aren't more players in his position. Maybe there are and they don't want to speak about it. It's easier to do it when you are at the end of your career.

To talk about it when you are playing is to admit a weakness and very few players are comfortable with that.
