Everton target Mohammed Kudus has followed the example of Antony and refused to train as he tries to force a move away from Ajax.
The Ghanaian attacking midfielder, 22, didn't report for Wednesday's training session as the clock ticks down towards the transfer deadline.
Kudus has agreed terms with Everton, who want to push ahead with the signing but Ajax are refusing to co-operate.
The player has therefore decided to take matters in to his own hands by essentially going on strike, as Brazilian winger Antony did before his £85million move to Manchester United earlier this week.
