Mohamed Salah confident he will be fit to play in Merseyside derby after having scan on groin injury picked up in victory over Manchester City

Mohamed Salah is confident he will be fit to play against Merseyside rivals Everton on the weekend, having had a scan on the groin injury he sustained in the Champions League victory over Manchester City.

The Egyptian star was spotted leaving the hospital on Thursday afternoon and replied with a thumbs up after being asked if he will be available for Saturday's crunch clash.

He appeared to be in high spirits and seemed to be in no pain as he walked around freely in Cheshire with a friend before leaving in a white Mercedes.
