There were mixed fortunes for Everton's international players on Monday evening.
In Amsterdam, Maarten Stekelenburg started in goal for the Netherlands in their heavyweight clash with France.
The Everton custodian might have hoped to do better when Paul Pogba lashed the French ahead but impressed later on with a superb stop from Kevin Gameiro to keep his side in the game - but the Oranje couldn't find an equaliser and lost out 1-0.
Meanwhile, Kevin Mirallas played the final 25 minutes of Belgium's demolition of Gibraltar. The score was already 5-0 when the Everton man entered the fray with 25 minutes left - Eden Hazard then added a sixth before Mirallas struck the post late on.
