Everton Under-18s twice battled back from behind to draw 3-3 with West Bromwich Albion at Finch Farm and extend their impressive unbeaten start to the 2018-19 season.
After seven straight victories, the young Blues failed to win for the first time this campaign but salvaged a point through Ellis Simms’ 58th-minute equaliser.
The striker had earlier put the league leaders ahead with his eighth goal this term, only for West Brom to turn the scoreline on its head before the break.
Kieran Phillips then made up for missing a penalty on the stroke of half-time by making it 2-2 on 50 minutes but Peter Taylor quickly restored the visitors’ lead courtesy of a stunning 30-yard strike.
