Marco Silva refused to offer Watford assurances over his future amid speculation he could be on his way to Everton.
It is understood Silva is determined to leave for Goodison Park, with the Portuguese believed to be a target for the Merseysiders, who sacked Ronald Koeman last month.
Silva, 40, has only overseen 12 matches for Watford and has inspired a promising start to the season since his summer appointment.
When questioned about the Everton reports at his press conference to preview Sunday's match against West Ham, Silva said: "I don't know about an offer or not, or what's happened.
