Joe Hugill has signed a new contract with Manchester United ahead of joining Burton Albion on loan for the season.
The striker has put pen to paper on a deal until 2026 at United with the option of a further year but will now continue his development with Martin Paterson at League One strugglers Burton.
Hugill, who signed from Sunderland in 2020, has been on the bench four times for United this season including for the FA Cup win at Wigan this week.
While his loan was agreed with Burton early in the week, he has been called upon by United to cover for injuries in training.
