Tyias Browning played the full 90 minutes as Sunderland came from three goals down to earn a point at play-off contenders Bristol City on Saturday.
The 23rd-placed Black Cats looked down and out with 20 minutes remaining as they trailed to Aden Flint’s opener and a Famara Diedhiou brace.
However, a Josh Brownhill own goal and effort from former Toffees winger Aiden McGeady gave Chris Coleman’s side a late lifeline before another own goal, this time from Marlon Pack, levelled a thrilling contest in the dying seconds of injury time.
Brendan Galloway did not feature in Sunderland’s matchday squad.
