Muhamed Besic scored his first goal in English football to help loan side Middlesbrough to a vital 2-1 victory away at play-off rivals Derby County this weekend.
Besic powered the ball past goalkeeper Scott Carson to give Boro a 20th-minute lead - an advantage doubled by striker Britt Assombalonga with 20 minutes to go.
And despite David Nugent’s 92nd-minute penalty reducing the arrears, the visitors held on to ensure four points from their remaining two games will guarantee a top-six finish.
Besic, who joined the Blues from Hungarian outfit Ferencvaros in July 2014, played 81 minutes at Pride Park before being replaced by Grant Leadbitter.
