Four of Everton’s on-loan contingent were in action over the weekend.
Kicking off in the FA Cup, both Aiden McGeady and Brendan Galloway featured for their respective clubs in third-round ties.
Unfortunately for both, the pair suffered early exits in the competition. McGeady, however, impressed for Preston as they were edged 2-1 by holders Arsenal. The Republic of Ireland international turned Aaron Ramsey before threading a pass between Nacho Monreal and Gabriel for Callum Robinson to turn home.
But Ramsey equalised and Olivier Giroud struck a late winner to send the Gunners through.
