Matthew Pennington helped Leeds United keep pace in the race for the automatic promotion places in the Championship as Thomas Christiansen's men saw off Bristol City this weekend.
The young Blues defender played the full 90 minutes at Ashton Gate, where an early brace from Spanish striker Samuel Saiz set United on their way to a 3-0 success, with Pierre-Michel Lasogga rounding off the scoring.
The result sees Leeds stay in fourth, four points off early pacesetters Wolves and Cardiff City.
Elsewhere in the second tier, Kieran Dowell stepped off the bench to play his part in Nottingham Forest’s 2-0 win over Burton Albion, which saw them move up to 12th in the table.
