Tom Cleverley has revealed his decision to leave Everton to join Watford on loan was down to the need to play consistent first-team football.
The 27-year-old midfielder agreed to link up with the Hornets until the end of the season, with the club having an obligation to buy him outright for £8 million should they avoid relegation from the Premier League.
