Everton Ladies duo Kirstie Levell and Claudia Walker agree that a derby day victory over Liverpool could be the catalyst to Everton’s push up the Women’s Super League table.
Sunday’s clash at Southport’s Merseyrail Community Stadium begins a busy period for the Blue Girls, who take on their city rivals again in the Continental Cup on Wednesday, before facing Bristol City and Manchester United, all within 11 days.
But Walker, who joined Everton from the Reds in 2015, believes the side aren’t far away from securing an elusive league victory.
“If we go out there and perform like we know we can and how we have trained in recent weeks, then we can get the win,” she said.
