Everton legend Howard Kendall was honoured by the League Managers Association on Monday night.
The LMA staged their annual dinner at the Grosvenor Hotel in London and Howard was posthumously awarded a gold medal that was presented to every previous winner of the Manager of the Year trophy.
His wife Lily was in attendance on what would have been the great man's 72nd birthday.
Lily took to the stage alongside representatives of the families of the likes of Sir Matt Busby, Don Revie and Bill Shankly.
Sir Alex Ferguson presented the medal to Lily, who said: "Howard would have been so proud of this.
