Francis Jeffers hopes Beni Baningime’s impressive first-team debut can inspire Everton Under-23s to victory against Swansea City.
While David Unsworth continues to take charge of the senior team, coach Jeffers will once again manage the young Blues when they take on the Swans in the Premier League 2 this evening (7pm kick-off).
Despite a 1-0 home defeat to Sunderland last time out in the league, the Toffees remain second in the table - five points behind current leaders Liverpool after eight rounds of fixtures.
But Jeffers says the squad is champing at the bit to get back in action in south Wales - and has been further boosted by Baningime’s man-of-the-match display against Chelsea on his full debut for the Club.
