James Rodriguez admits that he doesn't think Carlo Ancelotti is going to bring him back to Real Madrid despite enjoying a fruitful partnership at the Bernabeu in 2014 as the Colombian says he is 'fine' at Everton

James Rodriguez does not expect to rejoin former Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, with the 29-year-old saying he is happy at the Toffees for now.

Rodriguez, who was controversially omitted from the Colombia squad for the Copa America, arrived on Merseyside last September and endeared himself to the team's fans in his opening weeks at the club with a series of impressive displays.

However, Rodriguez's influence waned as the season wore on - in part due to calf problems - and Ancelotti's men ended the season in a disappointing 10th position before the Italian decided to jump ship and assume the Real hotseat once more following the resignation of Zinedine Zidane in a move that shocked Everton, given that Ancelotti had only signed a four-and-a-half year deal in December 2019.
