Angharad James insists Everton Ladies’ willingness to “put bodies on the line” will serve them well as they bid to climb the Women’s Super League table.
The Blue Girls faced runaway league leaders Arsenal at Southport on Sunday, falling to a 4-0 defeat to a side six points clear of second-placed Manchester City and who averaged 5.1 goals a game prior to their trip to the Merseyrail Community Stadium.
That scoreline was harsh on the Toffees as they frustrated their high-flying opponents – who have won all eight of their league fixtures to date - for much of the contest.
