Jags Head Over Heels With Win

Phil Jagielka has revealed how dressing room jokes prompted his cartwheel goal celebration against Burnley on Saturday.

It was the captain’s third goal in as many games following his overhead kick at Old Trafford and glancing header in last weekend’s 4-2 victory Leicester City.

Having marked those two goals in a low-key manner, this time Jagielka produced the acrobatics when he netted from close range at the start of the second half.

“The goals are nice and I don’t score too many,” said the defender. “I took a little bit of stick for my non-celebrations, so I thought I would mix it up.
