Aileen Whelan cannot wait to make her Everton Ladies debut after signing for the Blue Girls on Friday.
The striker was left without a club after Notts County folded the day before they were due to begin their WSL 1 Spring Series campaign.
That means Whelan has spent months in pre-season without tasting competitive action so far this season, meaning she is chomping at the bit to get started at her new club.
“I’m really looking forward to getting started,” she said. “I have had a long pre-season and I am just looking forward to getting out onto that pitch and getting some minutes under my belt and score some goals.
