Everton in the Community’s long-standing relationship with Medicash has received a very welcome cash boost with the news that the Liverpool-based health cash plan provider has provided funding for the charity to deliver a new programme aimed at reducing the number of young people dying from heart attacks on Merseyside.
The Medicash Charitable Trust has donated £10,000 to the Blues official charity, which will allow the organisation to deliver a three-year Healthy Hearts programme to young people aged 15-35 years old.
Every week in the UK, 12 young people die as a result of sudden cardiac arrest.
