Jodie Brett admitted she would happily play a derby every week if it meant getting on the scoresheet after her first league goal for Everton earned a 1-1 draw against Liverpool.
The midfielder was introduced on 55 minutes with the Blue Girls trailing to Laura Coombs’ strike inside the first 60 seconds of the second half, and was in the right place at the right time to stab home from close range just past the hour.
The goal was Brett’s second of the campaign, having opened her account in the FA Women’s Cup tie at Durham back in March and the 22-year-old was pleased to help her side secure a deserved share of the spoils.
