Everton defender Gabby George has been named in Phil Neville’s England squad for next month’s friendly clashes with Brazil and Australia.
George won her first full cap in September when the Lionesses completed their successful World Cup qualification campaign with a 6-0 victory in Kazakhstan.
The centre-back, who helped her side shut out defending Women’s Super League champions Chelsea in a 0-0 draw on Sunday, could potentially line up against newly-crowned FIFA women’s player of the year Marta when England tackle Brazil at Notts County’s Meadow Lane on Saturday, October 6.
Neville then takes his team to Fulham’s Craven Cottage for a meeting with Australia on Tuesday, October 9.
