Frank Lampard is eager to sign defender Conor Coady on a permanent basis after the 29-year-old's impressive spell on loan from Wolves...while Jordan Pickford is 'close' to signing a new deal at Goodison Park

Frank Lampard wants to sign Conor Coady on a permanent basis and says Jordan Pickford is 'close' to signing a new deal at Everton.

Coady arrived at Goodison Park on a season-long loan from Wolves last summer but Lampard has seen enough to want to keep the 29-year-old centre back - who has two years left on his contract at Molineux - on a long-term basis.

'Conor has been brilliant since he's been here in every possible way,' said Lampard. 'I would like to make that permanent at some point.
