Dele Alli’s season is over after the Everton midfielder on loan at Besiktas picked up a hip muscle injury which will rule him out for up to 10 weeks.

The 26-year-old joined the Turkish side on a season-long deal last summer and he last appeared at the end of February against Antalyaspor.

That is set to be his final appearance for Besiktas, who gave the midfielder permission to fly back to England after picking up his problem.

Alli, capped 37 times by England, will assess his future in the summer once he has overcome his current injury.
