Everton are preparing to sell James McCarthy this summer as Newcastle United, West Ham and Crystal Palace circle for the midfielder.
Manager Ronald Koeman says the 26-year-old has a future at Goodison but club sources maintain they will try and sell McCarthy for around £20million to help offset their planned summer spending spree.
McCarthy has pulled out of the Republic of Ireland squad for next month's games against Mexico, Uruguay and Austria as he concentrates on making a full recovery from his last hamstring injury.
Koeman said: 'Of course I want to keep McCarthy because all the times he was really fit and on his level most of the time he was a starting player.
