Sevilla are lining up a new contract for former Stoke midfielder Steven N'Zonzi to ward off the interest from Everton.
The Merseyside club have been keeping close tabs on the 27-year-old’s progress at Sevilla, where his contract runs until 2019, and have been linked with a January move.
But according to Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo, the La Liga side's sporting director Monchi has made tying the Frenchman down to fresh terms his priority.
Everton director of football Steve Walsh is a big fan of N'Zonzi, who made 195 Premier League appearances across his spells at Blackburn Rovers and then Stoke.
