Everton are to open talks with England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford over a new contract.
Pickford, who played a crucial role in Everton surviving relegation from the Premier League, is under contract at the club until 2024.
Everton's hierarchy are in agreement that the 28-year-old deserves a new deal, despite the continuing uncertainty over who might own Merseyside outfit before the season starts.
Transfer Focus: Declan Rice
The Toffees are keen to tie Pickford down to fresh terms following his superb end to the season, which included an incredible save to deny Cesar Azpilicueta in his side's 1-0 win over Chelsea in May.
