MIAMI -- Everton have joined the race to land Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo, sources have told ESPN FC.
The injured Argentina international has returned to Manchester following his post-World Cup holiday rather than join the rest of the squad in the United States while speculation about his future rumbles on.
Sources have told ESPN FC that United are open to offers for the 28-year-old, who only signed a new contract in March, and that the player is considering his options after slipping down the pecking order last season.
He was limited to just 12 appearances in all competitions last season and was not included in Jose Mourinho's matchday squad for the FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea in May.
