Everton striker Beto revealed the reasons behind his heart-warming celebration after scoring his first Premier League goals since October.
Beto gestured towards the crowd at Goodison Park after netting twice in Everton’s impressive 4-0 win against Leicester and afterwards explained he was sharing his joy with stricken team-mate Orel Mangala who suffered a season-ending ACL injury the previous week at Brighton.
‘I was picking out Mangala,’ confirmed Beto. ‘He had told me earlier in the day at our training ground at Finch Farm that he would be in the stands.
‘He said if I scored, to point to him, so that is what I tried to do.
