Everton have sacked Marco Silva with the club 18th in the Premier League table after winning only four of their opening 15 league games this season.
Sources have told ESPN that despite reports that David Moyes is being considered for a return to the club, there are divisions within the Goodison Park hierarchy over him coming back.
Silva joined Everton on a three-year contract in May 2018, but a 5-2 hammering against a second-string Liverpool side in the Premier League on Wednesday was the latest in a long run of unconvincing results that led to his dismissal.
