Everton are said to be plotting a January swoop for Real Mallorca midfielder Iddrisu Baba as he has become 'one of the revelations' of LaLiga this season.
Rafa Benitez had previously been linked with a move for the Ghana international during his time as the Real Madrid manager but failed to acquire his services.
Baba's current contract at Mallorca is set to expire in 2024 and includes a release clause of £38million. However, the Merseyside club are said to be reluctant to pay that price for the 25-year-old.
According to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Everton sent scouts to watch Baba during Mallorca's 1-1 LaLiga draw at Cadiz on Sunday afternoon.
