Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri makes joint purchase of iconic Royal Liver Building

Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has jointly bought the Royal Liver Building and its famous rooftop Liver Birds.

The landmark building, which was completed in 1911, was sold for £48million in February to a consortium led by international property group Corestate.

It is the first time the Royal Liver Building has changed hands, and Moshiri will be able to view Bramley-Moore Dock from the rooftop of the waterfront property - where the club hope to build a new stadium.

Moshiri, who bought his stake in Everton a year ago, was Corestate's partner and confirmed to Liverpool Echo: 'I am delighted to have jointly acquired the Royal Liver Building, which is a world-class property in a bustling riverfront location.
