Everton have vowed to take action after some of their fans were filmed signing a song with racist connotations about their own player, Yerry Mina.
The chant is based on a racial stereotype and a reference to the Colombia defender using cocaine without any foundation.
A video of a group of supporters singing it on a coach last Saturday was uploaded to a Twitter account run by a group called Falcon Blues.
But, by Friday afternoon, it had been removed and the account had issued an apology, saying the song was intended to contain ‘loveable humour’ and ‘nobody with Falcon Blues tolerates any kind of racism’.
