Everton are maintaining interest in Las Palmas defender Mauricio Lemos and he remains an option for the Toffees.
Manager Ronald Koeman is hoping for a breakthrough in talks over £25million-rated Burnley and England centre-back Michael Keane this week.
Roma have also enquired about Uruguay U23 international Lemos who was considered by Barcelona last year. He can play at centre-back or defensive midfield and scored five goals last season as he was monitored by Everton scouts.
Las Palmas, who only signed him permanently from Rubin Kazan a year ago, are indicating they want his £26m release clause which will prove an obstacle to any negotiations.
