Everton FC news: Sam Allardyce’s future on a knife-edge as Farhad Moshiri refuses to publicly back manager

Sam Allardyce’s future as Everton manager stands upon the edge of a knife, with Farhad Moshri refusing to publicly back the 63-year-old.

Moshiri, the majority shareholder of the Goodison Park club, appointed Allardyce in November following a disastrous start to the Premier League season under Ronald Koeman and, when the Dutchman was sacked, interim boss David Unsworth.

And though Allardyce has guided Everton away from the foot off the table, he remains largely disliked by the Toffees support, and he asked Moshiri for clarity on his future on Merseyside following the club’s decision to send out a survey to supporters that included a question concerning Allardyce’s leadership of the team.
