Everton fans were made to use breathalysers on Thursday night as those under the influence of alcohol were refused entry to their Europa League game at Hajduk Split.

Blues supporters who were deemed to be drunk were also hit with fines, worth around £200 each.

This followed an outbreak of violence earlier in the day, with one Everton follower treated by ambulance staff after attempting to flee violent locals.
