Everton fan and former player Phil Neville says he 'hates' those who do not rate Ross Barkley: 'It kills me when I see someone write badly about him'

Former Everton and England player Phil Neville has launched a stinging attack on critics of Ross Barkley, saying he 'hates' those who speak ill of the midfielder.

Barkley was the subject of criticism after a poor performance against Liverpool in their Merseyside derby defeat, but he showed his potential with a strong display against Leicester City.

Barkley produced an inch perfect cross for Romelu Lukaku to head in Everton's equaliser as they came from behind to beat the champions 4-2 at Goodison Park.
