Everton are discussing a move for Ajax defender Jairo Riedewald.
The 20-year-old is also a target for Crystal Palace and was expected to move to London in a £8.6million move.
However, Ronald Koeman also wants the versatile Holland international who is adept at playing left back, centre back and defensive midfield where he played under Peter Bosz.
Riedewald has three caps for his country and scored one goal in 27 appearances for Ajax last season.
Koeman has already spent big in the transfer market as the Toffees look to build a squad capable of challenging for a top-four place in the Premier League.
