Yerry Mina scored the first goal of the Frank Lampard era as Everton welcomed their new manager with an entertaining FA Cup fourth round win at bouncing Goodison.
Mina, an early substitute, headed his side into a half-time lead with Richarlison, Mason Holgate and Andros Townsend adding further goals in the second half as Ivan Toney replied for Brentford from the penalty spot.
Home fans chanted “Super Frankie Lampard” as the feelgood factor returned after a difficult period under Rafa Benitez which ended in his sacking a fortnight ago.
