Everton 2-0 Brighton: A Gaetan Bong own-goal and Cenk Tosun strike seal win for Toffees to move them up to ninth in the table

Everton moved up to ninth in the Premier League table thanks to a 3-0 win over Brighton at Goodison Park on Saturday.

The Toffees opened the scoring in the second half through a Gaetan Bong own-goal from Yannick Bolasie's cross.

Cenk Tosun doubled Everton's lead before Brighton's Anthony Knockaert was sent off. Wayne Rooney could have made it three but he saw his penalty saved by goalkeeper Mat Ryan.
