Everton recorded their second victory of the new Premier League season on Saturday as they beat Stoke courtesy of a Shay Given own goal.
The defining moment arrived when Everton won a penalty shortly after half-time when Ashley Williams was brought down by Phil Bardsley.
Leighton Baines stepped up and his left-footed strike rebounded off the experienced goalkeeper and into his own net.
