Erwin Koeman has revealed how he and brother Ronald were inspired to play football by their father, Martin.
The Blues assistant boss is the studio guest on tonight’s The Everton Show and talks about how watching their dad turn out for Groningen - a side both brothers would go on to represent - was a major influence in their formative years.
Like Erwin and Ronald, Martin, a defender, also represented the Netherlands, picking up a cap against Austria in 1964.
And Erwin, who went on to make 31 appearances for his country and enjoy European Championship success alongside Ronald in 1988, said: “We were born with the ball, both of us.
